Crewe Alexandra have completed the double loan signing of Newcastle United midfielder Daniel Barlaser and Aston Villa`s forward Harry McKirdy, both until the end of the season. They become the second and third loan player to arrive in this window following the signing of Paul Green last week.
Barlaser, who has represented both Turkey (which he qualifies through ancestry) and England at Under-16 through Under-18 level, has been a regular for Peter Beardsley`s Newcastle`s Under-23 team and has even made his first team debut in the FA Cup last year.
McKirdy, an agile striker who can also play on either wing or as a deeper striker, has 6 in 10 for Villa`s Under-23 as of New Year, spent the first half of last season at Stevenage where he scored twice in 13 appearances in all competitions.
Both are eligible to play in this afternoon`s home game against Wycombe Wanderers.
