Crewe Alexandra Sign Aaron Taylor-Sinclair On Loan

Crewe Alexandra have completed the signing of Aaron Taylor-Sinclair, becoming the club’s second signing of the January transfer window after the signing of Jamie Sterry back from Newcastle that was completed on Saturday.

Taylor-Sinclair, 27, started his career as a youngster at Aberdeen before moving to Montrose and Partick Thistle in his homeland. He joined Wigan Athletic in the summer of 2014, without making a first-team appearance in the league for the Latics (playing just the once in the League Cup), before moving on to Doncaster Rovers, Plymouth Argyle and Motherwell last summer. He made 9 appearances for the Well in the first half of this season but has moved to the Alexandra Stadium to get regular first-team football.

He is available to play from this Saturday’s home game against in-form Carlisle United and will wear the number 31 during his spell with the Railwaymen.

What type of player is Taylor-Sinclair?

He’s a left-back who can also play as a centre-back but apart from that I know very little about him. Fans of his previous teams Plymouth and Doncaster had this to say about him:

That sounds promising and could see Harry Pickering move into midfield until James Jones is fit again at least.
