Collis To Be Dropped

Goalkeeper Steve Collis is to be dropped for Tuesday’s trip to the league leaders Leicester City.

The former Southend ‘keeper is to be taken out of the firing line after today’s 3-0 defeat at home to Stockport. Collis could arguably be [partly] blamed for all three of County’s goals as the Alex collapsed in the 2nd half.

Dario Gradi has said that Stuart Tomlinson will now get his chance between the sticks, but I think we all know it’s just a matter of containing any confidence Collis has left having conceded over 40 goals already this season.

Last season saw Ben Williams come under fire from Alex fans who blamed him for much of the defensive woes last terms, but a new, older keeper doesn’t seem to have brought us any more luck.
