Crewe have pulled out of an offer for Bury striker Andy Bishop after they were told he’s not for sale.

Bury have told Crewe after an initial approach that an official offer for the player would only be rebuffed.

The two clubs are miles apart with their valuations of the player and it seems Bury won’t compromise with the Alex unwilling to consider their valuation.

Crewe have already turned their attentions to former striker Steve Jones at Burnley, who is expected to join on a one-month loan if given permission by The Clarets.

The Alex also look to have finally found a left-back to come in on loan to cover the position as Billy Jones is currently injured. This deal is likely to be done early next week though with Danny Woodards and George Abbey filling the full back berths at Carlisle tomorrow after solid performances against Leeds on Monday.
