Left back Billy Jones looks set to return to the side in April after being sidelined for three months. The 24 year old has been out injured since the turn of the year with cartilage damage.
A six week lay-off was anticipated but recovery has taken longer than expected and an April return has now been estimated by the former Exeter defender.
Billy told the BBC: ‘Everything’s going fine at the moment, I’ve pencilled in the Southend game on 5 April as my comeback game.’
Billy’s return to the first 11 isn’t guaranteed though; loanee left back Patrick Boyle, from Everton, has put in some comfortable performances and he’ll take some removing from the position.
