Lee Barnard could miss Saturday’s home game against Bournemouth after picking up an injury. Barnard was one of a few players to fall victim to late challenges from Tranmere Rovers players on Tuesday night.

A second half challenge in the 1-1 draw saw Barnard take a bad blow to his ankle, forcing him to go off. His ankle has since swollen up and he’s now classed as a mjor doubt for Saturday.

Barney now faces a race against time to get fit, along with Danny Woodards. Woodards too was mistaken for the ball by Tranmere and took several knocks, but the coaching staff are hopeful he’ll recover in time.

George Abbey is now on stand-by to take Woody’s place at right back, whilst Byron Moore could start up front in place of Barnard.
