Crewe are hoping to tie up the loan signing of Joe Anyinsah from Preston North End today. The 23 year old winger spent three months on loan at Carlisle United earlier this season and impressed more than enough.

Anyinsah started his career at Bristol City before signing for Preston North End in 2005. However, he’s failed to play more than 10 games at either of his senior clubs, with his 12 game spell at Carlisle being his longest first team stint yet.

With his tricky footwork and dribbling, he could prove a vital signing and could go straight into the team to face Forest if the deal is done in time.

The deal will last till the end of the season, with Preston NE having an option to recall at any time after 28 days.

Preston manager Alan Irvine said of the move: “”I’ve agreed he can go to Crewe, which is a good opportunity for him because they’re a good football team, and a team I’m happy to let a young football player go to. I think he’ll be taught the right way there.”
