SHAUN MILLER has verbally agreed a two year contract extension. The striker, who is out of contract next summer, was considering his options when new signings Calvin Zola and Anthony Elding arrived but Steve Holland assured the youngster that he is still in his plans.

The 20 year old only managed five starts last season but is set to be involved more in the team next season. A likely departure for Maynard before the end of August will put Miller into Holland’s group of ‘four main striker’ including Elding, Zola and Pope.

STEVE HOLLAND says James Bailey will have a bigger role to play next season. Bailey, who made one sub appearance last season, impressed fans with his performances against Hull City last week end.

With Jake Livermore injured till later October, a chance has opened up for Bailey and Holland expects him to take it. Speaking to the BBC, Holland said: ‘James Bailey will now get his chance and will play a bigger part in the squad than he did last year.’

However, that won’t stop Holland on bringing in new players. Despite struggling to stay within budget, Holland says that all options are open and if they can they will continue to strengthen the side.
