EFL Trophy:
Charlie Kirk played the first 87 mins for Charlton Athletic in their 1-0 home win against MK Dons – they will play at Hartlepool United in the quarter-finals.
Connor O’Riordan, Regan Griffiths (85 mins), Travis Johnson, Oli Finney (68 mins) and Callum Ainley all started for Crewe Alexandra in their 4-2 home defeat against Rotherham United. Luke Murphy, Joel Tabiner (both 22 mins) and Connor Salisbury (5 mins) were all used subs while Billy Sass-Davies was an unused sub, all for the hosts.
