Calvin Zola looks set to miss the next couple of weeks at least after leaving the field last night with a hamstring injury.

The former Tranmere striker pulled up after just 27 minutes before hobbling off. It’s though that a hamstring strain is the likely diagnosis and it will see Zola out for at least the next three games.

It’s yet another blow for the injury prone Zola having just returned from a couple of weeks out with a groin strain, but it gives Gudjon Thordarson a chance to bring Tom Pope back into the frame.

Pope has been out for four weeks after twisting his ankle in training last month but having trained this week he looks good enough to return up front in place of Zola.
