Calvin Zola has been granted a work permit and is expected to complete his move to Crewe early next week.

The 23 year old striker had his work permit confirmed at a meeting with the Home Office in Sheffield this afternoon with Crewe Alexandra being represented by John Bowler, Steve Holland and Dario Gradi.

Having previously agreed personal terms the only thing left to do is get Zola to sign on the dotted line at the start of next week to complete the deal for a fee thought to be in the region of £100,000 – £200,000.

Vital Crewe will bring you the news next week as soon as he officially signs for Crewe Alexandra.

I thought he would get it after all those years in England. I think he will do well at Crewe.
