In this column, we look at the two players that were called up for their countries during the international break of November 2024.
Defender Jamie Knight-Lebel was called up by Canada’s senior team for the second straight international window, this time for their CONCACAF Nations League quarter-finals against Suriname, where he was an unused sub in their 1-0 win in Suriname on Friday night before making his international debut in the early hours in their 3-0 home win in Toronto – this means that Canada go onto the semi-finals that will take place in California during the March 2025 window.
Striker Adrien Thibaut was called up by the Republic of Ireland for their Under-21s for the first time, he would be an unused sub in their 2-0 defeat against Sweden last Thursday before playing the final 19 minutes in their 3-2 win against the same opposition on Sunday.
