Youngster Heads Out To Wales On Loan

|

Crewe Alexandra have announced that they allowed attacker Connor Heath to join Cymru North club Colwyn Bay on loan until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.

Heath, 19, came the Alex’s youth system and is in the first year as a professional with the club. He has already been out on loan with Newcastle Town at the end of his scholarship (where he made 6 appearances and scored once).

Providing international clearance comes in time, he could make his debut for the Bay tomorrow night in the Welsh Cup against Flint Town United while they have a dozen games left in their league season (they currently sit in 5th place with just the top team being promoted into the Cymru Premier).

What are Bay getting from the signing?

Connor is an attacking midfielder who has an eye for goals that can also play up front. Whilst I know nothing about the Welsh league system, this experience will see him play for one of the better teams in the league (there are 17 teams) and hopefully he’ll get to play in midfield, either as a #10 or as an attacking midfielder as part of a midfield trio.
