Agius Signs Long-Term Contract

|

Crewe Alexandra have announced that midfielder Calum Agius has signed a long-term deal with the club of an initial 3-year deal with the Alex having the option of another two years beyond that, in the process signing his first professional deal.

Agius, 18, has come through the Alex’s academy set-up, making his debut last week on his 18th birthday in a narrow defeat at Port Vale in the EFL Trophy opening group game (the group also containing Wrexham and Newcastle United’s Under-21s) after being an unused sub against the same opposition a week earlier in the Carabao Cup 2nd Round defeat on penalties.

He has also represented Wales at several levels, including playing for their Under-19s in the summer in a couple of games against Sweden but wasn’t part of their recent squad for the games against Finland last week ahead of them starting in the UEFA Euro Under-19 qualifiers that start soon.
