Robbins Joins Nantwich On Loan

|

Crewe Alexandra midfielder Joe Robbins has joined Nantwich Town on an initial month-long loan deal, starting with their trip to Stafford Rangers on Monday.

Robbins, 19, has come through the Alex Academy set-up, captaining the youth team during his scholarship days before progressing to Alex Morris’ Under-23s team. He would spend a month of last season on loan at National League team Altrincham in the early stages of last season (where he would make 5 appearances) before making his Alex debut in the final game of this season’s EFL Trophy group stage against Wolves Under-21s.

He is their second signing of the day after Alty keeper Matt Gould joined them for a second spell of the season earlier today.

What are Nantwich getting from the signing of Robbins?

Joe is a player who demands the ball from teammates and can play in a number of central midfield positions, usually as a defensive midfielder or as a box-to-box player.
