Crewe Alexandra have confirmed that defender Billy Sass-Davies and midfielder Joe Robbins will be returning to the club following loan spells at National League side Altrincham.
Robbins, 18, has spent the last 5 weeks with the club, making 5 appearances (including 4 starts) in his first loan spell away from the Alex as the Robins had a shortage of midfielders available.
Sass-Davies, 20, joined the club a week later following an injury to Alex Academy Alumni defender Toby Mullarkey (coming on in his second debut for the club for another AA player – the experienced Ritchie Sutton) and made 6 appearances in his second spell with the club following one at the start of 2019.
What does this mean for the Alex?
Whilst I can’t imagine that Robbins will go into the matchday 18 with the club on Saturday in our league game at Burton Albion, you’d imagine that Billy would be involved, even if it’s on the substitutes’ bench.
