Crewe Alexandra were victorious in both pre-season games played on Monday evening as they continue their build up to the new campaign.

Striker Shaun Miller netted twice and Max Clayton similarly struck a double in an emphatic 7-1 victory at Chasetown. Byron Moore also converted a penalty while an own-goal and an effort from an unnamed Leek Town trialist completed the scoring until a late consolation goal.

In the other game at Quorn FC, new signing Mathias Pogba headed in an Ashley Westwood corner just before half-time for his second goal in two games. Brendan Daniels then took advantage of decent work between Michael West and AJ Leitch-Smith to add a second early in the second period before substitute Harry Clayton made it 3-0 late on.
