Winger To Arrive

Crewe have agreed a deal to sign a winger on loan from a Championship club. Both clubs and the unnamed player have agreed the move and it’s just a matter of putting the final touches to the deal. The player is said to be able to play on either wing.

Neil Baker confirmed the deal to thisisthesentinel.co.uk, saying: ‘We’re close to getting a winger in who can play on either flank.

‘He’s with a Championship side and we have agreed with his club as well as with the player for him to come here.’

The move should put an end to a long search for a quick winger that has seen the likes of Leicester’s Max Gradel turn the Alex down in favour of Bournemouth.

One name bound to be linked is Burnley’s Steve Jones, who left the Alex just a couple of years ago after 3 successful years with the club. Jones has struggled to break into the Burnley side this season, and having scored twice against the Alex in a behind closed doors friendly this week, people are clearly going to put two & two together.
