Out-of-contract winger Byron Moore should finally sign a new deal with Crewe Alexandra later this week.

The 23-year-old forward has been stalling over the offer of a new two-year contract since the end of last season.

There were initially fears he could move to Scotland without compensation. But it is appearing increasingly likely that Moore will re-sign for Crewe after scoring for them during their Wembley play-off final victory over Cheltenham Town back in May.

Moore has already made more than two hundred appearances and struck 25 goals for the club since originally breaking into their side five years ago.
