Crewe Alexandra have announced that winger Owen Dale has been loaned out to newly-promoted Championship club Blackpool with the option to buy until January.
Dale, 22, has spent his career with the Alex and would make his first-team debut in August 2017 against Newcastle United’s Under-21s in the EFL Trophy before spending time on loan at Witton Albion and Altrincham. He has made 109 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 15 goals.
He also won League 1’s Player of the Month award in December last year.
What are they getting from Dale?
He’s a right-winger who can also cover on the left that has plenty of pace that has improved with his end product over the last 12 months. He’s someone who is more likely to provide goals rather than score them (though he would be our second top-scorer with 10 in all competitions) but it a very hard worker for the team where he is good at doubling up with his full-back if necessary.
