Who was tonight’s man of the match for the 1-0 win over Macclesfield Town in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy?

The youngsters were given a chance to shine on the night with Max Clayton, Oliver Turton, Antoni Sarcevic and Casper Hughes all given starts and they pulled us into the Northern Quarter Finals of the ‘tin pot’ that is fast becoming a very desirable trophy.

Max Clayton on his first start netted with a diving header on 75 minutes and in a rather uneventful match it was always going to be a single goal that decided to the tie.

But was Clayton’s goal and tireless performance enough for you or was there a better player on the pitch? Maybe’s Powell pulling the strings down the wing, Turton’s assured display at the back or maybe Murphy’s commanding play in midfield was your pick?

Or maybe the Dugdale fan club will see their man win the vote again?

You decide.
