Ben Rix (Jul 00 – Jun 01)

Karl Wills (Jan 05 – Jun 05)
Goalkeeper Wills would come through the Academy set-up without making a first-team appearance for the club. He would also play for Warrington Town in two spells, Runcorn Town, Colwyn Bay before joining City of Liverpool in the summer of 2017.
Gareth Taylor (Jan 06 – Jun 06)
Welsh striker Taylor joined the club on loan from Nottingham Forest, making 15 appearances for the club. He would go on to play for Tranmere Rovers, Doncaster Rovers, Carlisle United and Wrexham before retiring from playing in 2012. He would go on to coach at Manchester City, firstly with their Under-16s then the Under-18s until the end of May 2020 when he became the manager of their Ladies side.
Lee Matthews (Aug 06 – Jun 07)
Striker Matthews joined the club in the summer of 2006 from Port Vale, making 10 appearances for the club in his single season with the Alex. He would go on to play for Livingston before retiring later in that year.
Gylfi Sigurdsson (Feb 09 – May 09)
Midfielder Sigurdsson joined the club on loan from Reading, making 15 appearances in his half-season with the club. He would go on to play for Hoffenheim, Swansea City and Tottenham Hotspur before joining current club Everton in the summer of 2017.
Neil Etheridge (Nov 13 – Apr 14)
Goalkeeper Etheridge joined the club on loan on loan from Fulham making 4 appearances across 2 loan spells in the 13/14 season. He would also play for Oldham Athletic, Charlton Athletic and Walsall before joining current club Cardiff City in the summer of 2017.
