Crewe Alexandra defender Adam Dugdale is thrilled at the prospect of a Wembley date for the second time in less than twelve months.

“Last year it was the best day of my life and I’m looking forward to it again” – Adam Dugdale

The Alex will line-up against League Two side Southend United in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final in early April following on from their aggregate victory over Coventry City last night.

“It is another day out at Wembley, that’s two in two seasons and it is brilliant for the club and everyone involved,” Dugdale told the Crewe Chronicle. “I’m absolutely delighted.

“Last year it was the best day of my life and I’m looking forward to it again. I can’t wait,” he added. “We’ve got Southend in the final and they are powerful and direct but we are confident we can do the job there.”
