We dominated the game

Northampton manager Stuart Gray believes his side should have taken all three points this afternoon. Gray felt that his team had enough possession and chances to finish Crewe off but feels they just could get the break they needed.

Gray told ntfc.premiumtv.co.uk: ‘It was certainly a case of two points dropped. The match stats show we dominated the game, especially in the second half, but at least it is a clean sheet and keeps our run going. We need someone to grab the game by the scruff of the neck. The ball was in their box enough but we could not get that break.

‘All credit to Crewe. There is less pressure on them away from home. They won at Orient and almost won at Leeds last week so they are a tough team to play against.’

Being patronised by Northampton is when it really hits home how far you’ve fallen in a short space of time..
