We deserved the victory

Luton manager Mick Harford was more than happy to see his side take three points off the Alex yesterday.

Harford felt his side edged it with the commitment and desire shown as they, in the end, strolled to a 2-1 victory at Kenilworth Road.

Hardford told lutontown.co.uk:

”Crewe have a very good team and a good philosophy on how they play football.

”We have to win games, draws are great but we need to be picking up three points. The players are delighted and I was pleased with the control they showed.

”Crewe came out better second half but the lads showed true spirit, commitment and desire. As a team we deserved the victory.”

Luton will now get the support of Alex fans this coming week when they face Gillingham. Anything but a Luton win on Tuesday will not help the Railwaymen in a time of need, whilst a win for the Hatters would put our destiny in our own hands.
