Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis felt his side deserved better following their 1-1 draw with Shrewsbury Town at Gresty Road.

“We were just unfortunate not to get the three points” – Steve Davis

Winger Byron Moore earned the hosts an early lead with his fourth goal of the campaign but it was cancelled out by Luke Summerfield’s header before the break.

“I thought it was a good game and we put in a good performance, more so in the second half,” Davis told Crewe’s official website. “We really showed some desire to win the game.

“We came out and caused them some problems in the first-half and got a goal up but then we have got done on a counter-attack,” he added. “But it was good to put on one of our better performances at home and we were just unfortunate not to get the three points.”
