Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis was expecting another difficult challenge when visiting Bradford City this weekend.

“It showed that if we can put two good halves together we are more than capable of getting a result” – Steve Davis

The Railwaymen will still be smarting
from their shock FA Cup defeat to non-league Eastleigh last week – but at least have memories of their welcome home success against Sheffield United still fresh in their minds.

“We are usually the underdogs,” Davis admitted to Crewe’s official website.
“Last week we weren’t against Eastleigh, so it can work both ways.

“What we did in our last league game was not only win our first home game but also defeated one of the favourites for promotion,” he added. “It showed that if we can put two good halves together and play well then we are more than capable of getting a result.”
