Rhys Taylor
Rhys has come in for a lot of stick in recent weeks but today gave the sort of performance that convinced Dario to make him number one back in September. There was very little that would have got past him today, he stood up to everything and made one or two top saves. Only some slack marking at the far post, leaving him completely exposed, meant he conceded today. 8/10

Patrick Ada
Ada became makeshift right-back for the day after Tootle was ruled out through illness. Whilst he didn’t offer us quite the width of Tootle, he gave a good shift defensively and actually looked quite comfortable. 6/10

Adam Dugdale
Duggy isn’t everyone’s first reserve when it comes to picking the team but he gave little for his critics to complain about. Possibly caught out for Burton’s goal, he was otherwise steady alongside Artell and provided some good aerial ability. 5/10

David Artell
He got off to a shaky start, one of his first touches was slicing it 20ft high inside our own area, but the early goals helped him and the rest of the team settle with only momentary blips. 5/10

Danny Blanchett
Not Blanchett’s greatest game but by no means his worst. Not in position for Burton’s goal but being a counter attack it should have been covered by one of his team mates. 5/10

Luke Murphy
There’s something about Murph that just balances the team out. He struggled with the pitch at times today and he wasted some good balls when he got within sight of goal. A superb ball to set Donaldson up for his first and that sort of passing is why he shouldn’t be dropped so easily by Dario. 6/10

Ashley Westwood
We are still not seeing the Westy we saw take Player of the Season last year. Like Bell, he had a better game than we’ve seen recently but was nothing to write home about. Also like Bell he sat too deep in the second half, which is probably more a criticism to direct at the management team. 5/10

Lee Bell
A much better performance from Bell than those we’ve seen in recent weeks. Kept the ball and passed it well whilst keeping up his usual duty of trying to protect the back four. 6/10

Byron Moore
Got better as the game went on after a quiet start but we’ve seen a more threatening Moore this season and he never really posed Burton the threat we know he can. 6/10

Shaun Miller
On the scoresheet within 7 minutes with a good solo goal and ran his socks off throughout but not much else really went for him today. His tenaciousness though ran Burton ragged and we’d have been much worse off without him. 7/10

Clayton Donaldson
His first hat-trick for the club and a much deserved one after his work this season. You could call it a rather fortunate hat-trick; his first down to poor goalkeeping, his second a re-taken penalty and his third a real poachers goal. Takes nothing away from Donaldson though, after a quiet game at Bury he was back to his old self. Held the ball up superbly and frustrated Burton to the point they resorted to simply kicking him. 8/10
