Under-23s Draw Away At Birmingham City

Connor Heath gave Crewe Alexandra the lead against Birmingham City in the Under-23 Professional Development League at St. Andrews this afternoon before Birmingham substitute Kyle Hurst scoring a penalty that would see both teams get a point. This result sees both teams remain in the positions that they started the day in, Birmingham in 5th place with the Alex 2 places behind them.

Heath gave the Alex the lead on 69 minutes with a curling effort from outside the area before Blues substitute Hurst scored from the penalty spot 3 minutes later after his original shot was handled in the penalty area.

The next couple of games are a home game against Burnley next Monday afternoon at the Alexandra Stadium before a trip to Wigan Athletic the following Monday and a trip to Charlton Athletic on Firday 27th March.
