First-half goals from a trialist, Ryan Andrews and Shaqui Forde helped Watford defeat Crewe Alexandra in the Under-23s Professional Development League at Vicarage Road this afternoon. Max Woodcock gave the Alex the lead midway through the opening period while Kane Crichlow added the fourth in the second half.

With the Alex first-team at Charlton Athletic tomorrow afternoon, manager Alex Morris named a young team that was not announced.
