Faroe Islanders Jonas Tor Naes and Tordur Thomsen have failed to earn themselves a contract with Crewe.

Tor Naes, a full back, and Thomsen, a goalkeeper, both played in the behind closed doors friendly match against Vale on Saturday afternoon. Tor Naes meanwhile also got a run out at both the Nantwich and Hyde pre-season games.

However, neither impressed Gudjon Thordarson enough to earn a professional contract with the club and so both trialists depart.

Hopefully it marks an end to Gudjon’s steady flow of not-good-enough trialists.
