Two More International Caps For Jaaskelainen

|

Will Jaaskelainen has gained two international caps for Finland’s Under-21 side over this international break, taking his total at this level to 7 as he played ahead of fellow keeper Rasmus Leislathi.

Will played 90 minutes in both games, on Friday evening as the Finns lost 3-1 at home to Romania (their goal scored by midfielder Mikael Soisalo) before a 2-0 defeat in a home game with Ukraine this evening. These results see them unable to qualify for the finals competitions in March and May/June and will see Denmark and Romania battle it out for the top two spots in the group (the winners of the group and the five best runners-up will qualify alongside joint-hosts Hungary and Slovenia – the sides clash in the final round of fixtures in November).

Their next fixtures at this level are next month see two away trips, firstly to Northern Ireland on the 9th October before going to Denmark 4 days later.
