Ajose And Oliver Join League 2 Rivals

Northampton Town have completed the signing of Vadaine Oliver on a 12-month contract after his contract with Morecambe ended, becoming the Cobblers’ 11th signing of the summer window.

Oliver, 27, started his career with Sheffield Wednesday before spells at Lincoln City, Crewe, Mansfield Town, York City and Notts County before joining the Shrimps 2 years ago. He only got 3 goals in 42 appearances for the Alex (although most of those appearances were as a substitute).

Also on the move is Nicky Ajose who moves from Charlton Athletic to Exeter City with the length of his contract not revealed by the Grecians. Nicky, who is also 27, has played for a number of clubs during his career having been on the books of Manchester United, Bury, Peterborough United, Scunthorpe United, Chesterfield, Crawley Town, Leeds United, Crewe, Charlton Athletic and Mansfield Town.

Crewe travel to Northampton on 16th November with the home return on 4th April whilst Exeter travel to South Cheshire on 5th October with the Alex making the return journey in early January.
