As announced on the official site in the last few hours, right-back Oliver Turton will leave the club this summer after turning down a new contract.

Turton, 24, has played most of his career for the first team at right-back but has filled in at left-back and spent a number of games in midfield during the 2014/15 season as Matt Tootle and James Baillie shared the right-back position.

After moving back to his more familiar right-back position for the start of the 2015/16 season, he started every game of the season alongside Ben Garratt and scored his only goal of that season in April at home to Scunthorpe in a 3-2 defeat.

This season he made 50 appearances in all competitions, having only missed games against Chesterfield, Plymouth and Cheltenham in November and scored his only goal of this season in February at Blackpool as the Alex came from 2 goals down to draw the game 2-2.
