Three graduates of Crewe’s esteemed academy have today been offered new contracts.

Defenders Adam Dugdale and Harry Davis have both been offered two-year deals whilst striker Ajay Leitch-Smith has been offered a one-year extension with an option of a second year.

Dugdale has surprised supporters this season by becoming one of the first names on the team sheet after a very solid spell in the centre of defence, whilst Harry Davis has also proven important in recent weeks following a shakey start in his first year in the team.

Leitch-Smith’s season has once again been blighted by injuries but his value to the team when fit shouldn’t be underestimated, currently keeping Shaun Miller, Greg Pearson and Saturday’s matchwinner Max Clayton out of the starting line-up.

Vital Crewe hopes the club can get the contracts tied up very shortly and the trio can concentrate on performing in the first team throughout the run-in as the Alex hope to sneak into the Playoffs come May
