Bury frontman Andy Bishop, who this week has been a transfer target for Crewe is set to end speculation by signing a new and improved deal with League Two Bury.

The club made tenative enquires as to whether the hitman who scored 20+ goals was available to buy, Bury advised that only a ridiculous offer would tempt them in to a sale.

The player is believed to be ready to put pen to paper on the deal as early as Wednesday next week. Director of football at Bury, Keith Alexander told the Bury Times: ‘I have spoken to Andy and made him a very good offer, which he seems happy with,’

‘He is happy at the club, and wants to stay here. Unless someone comes in with a massive offer now, we can look to the future with Andy in mind.’

So it looks as if this is another transfer target that won’t be heading to the Alexandra Stadium.
