With Anthony Tonkin and Richard Walker set to be released by Crewe, it hasn’t taken either very long to attract suitors. Anthony Tonkin looks like making a return to the South, with Yeovil and Plymouth reportedly interested. Tonkin spent three years with Yeovil, whilst there has been suggestions of interest from Plymouth over the course of the last 12 months. With Rufus Brevett set to depart Plymouth this season, Tonkin may be set for a shock move to the Championship. Walker, meanwhile, has perhaps unsurprisingly attracted the attention of Port Vale, who have made no secret of their admiration for Walker for some time now. Defenders George Pilkington, Clayton Fortune and Michael Walsh look set to depart Vale this summer, so boss Martin Foyle seems keen to bring in defensive reinforcements. Walker’s agent Phil Sproson also claims that two other League One clubs have offered Walker a contract already.

your going to attract loads of interest but if you can keep your best players the others can build around them.
