Tommo Helpless In Burton Defeat

Stuart Tomlinson made a decent start to his loan spell at Burton Albion, despite the Brewers falling to a 3-1 defeat. The ‘keeper was blameless for Histon Town’s three goals, as Burton put in a woeful performance.

Playing alongside former Alex team mate Ryan Austin, Tomlinson made some good saves in the second half as Histon could well have gone on to scored another two or three.

Tommo joined Burton on a month’s loan towards the end of February, and with Nigel Clough rotating his keepers it meant Tomlinson didn’t make his debut till Saturday. It also means that, despite impressing, Tomlinson is unlikely to play tonight as Burton travel to York.

Burton currently sit sixth in the Blue Square Premier, one place and four points off the play-off spots.
