Rookie Keeper Stuart Tomlinson will be made available for loan. The youngster has fallen down the pecking order at the club after suffering injury at the back end of last season.

The club will now circulate his details as they would like Stuart to be playing regular first team football next season. Welshman Owen Fon-Williams will provide the back up for Ben Williams if he was to suffer injury.

It is anticipated that once again the club will continue with the policy of not having a reserve goalkeeper on the bench, this was a policy that was adopted towards the end of last season. Outfield players Michael O`Connor or Gary Roberts would be used in-between the sticks in an emergency.

So it appears that Tomlinson will be surplus to requirements at the Alexandra Stadium next season.

Previously Burton Albion have shown an interest in the young shot stopper who saved all of Rochdale`s penalties in the 2nd round JPT tie last October.

Always a risky business not having a reserve goalie on the bench! Good luck!
