Manager Steve Davis was pleased with the performances of his two debutants on Saturday.

“To come into a game like this I thought they worked hard for the cause” – Steve Davis

Both QPR striker Tom Hitchcock and Fulham winger Mesca Bangna made their bow in the weekend victory against Crawley Town after arriving on loan last week.

“I thought the loan players did fine,” Davis told Crewe’s official website. “They have only joined in on Friday, so to come into a game like this I thought they worked hard for the cause.

“This week will be really beneficial to them,” he added. “They will get used to their new team-mates and our style of play.”
