Dario & Steve Holland will set out this week in search of a replacement for full back Paul Bignot, who left for Kidderminster Harriers last week.

Bignot was to play understudy to Woodards and Billy Jones over the next season till he opted on a move outside the league, and with that he left Crewe in very little way of back up for the full back positions.

Dario Gradi & Steve Holland have already started to look at possible targets, though no enquiries have been made. Dario says that he’d ideally like a young player released from a big club.

Dario told CreweAlex.net: ‘Having Bignot leave now leaves us with the task of finding a 3rd or 4th choice full back, preferably someone that is young, 19 or 20, that doesn’t demand high wages and can go straight into our team. It would be nice if we could get someone that has just been released from a bigger club.’
