Teenagers Called Up For International Duty

Crewe Alexandra players Matus Holicek, Eli King, Zac Williams and Max Woodcock have all been called up for international duty during the upcoming international break, with them missing the home games in the EFL Trophy against Leeds United Under-21s on Tuesday night as well the league game against Mansfield Town the following Saturday.

Holicek, 17, has been called up by Slovakia to their Under-18 squad (link in Slovakian) for the first time. They are playing in the Vaclav Jezek International Tournament in Czech Republic with 3 games in 5 days starting Wednesday 21st against USA, Mexico and Finland.

King, 19, has been called up by Wales to their Under-21 squad and will be looking to add to his 5 caps at Under-21 level as they travel to Austria for a friendly ahead of the UEFA Under-21 Euro 2025 qualifiers that begin next year.

Williams, 18, has been called up by Wales to their Under-19 squad and will be looking to add to his 2 caps at Under-19 level as they play 3 games in 7 days starting Wednesday 21st in North Wales against Hungary, Republic of Ireland and Gibraltar.

Woodcock, 17, has been called up by Scotland to their Under-18 squad for their friendly tournament in Limoges, France as they face Poland, France and Estonia.
