Long term Alex target and Plymouth striker Nick Chadwick looks to be on his way back to fitness after a hernia operation.

The Stoke born striker was due for a loan move to Gresty Road at the end of October but it was revealed he would need an operation on a hernia problem.

A few weeks on and it now looks like Chadwick is on his way back to fitness. Plymouth Argyle’s physio Paul Maxwell explained to the Plymout Herald:

‘He had a femoral hernia, which is slightly different to a normal one. It’s a little bit lower down.

‘He has had the staples out now and he started some jogging yesterday.’

It now remains to be seen if the Alex will make a renewed bid for Chadwick once he returns to full fitness. With Plymouth’s recent signing of Jermaine Easter from Wycombe, and Chadwick’s contract running out it seems likely that Plymouth may let Chadwick go on a permanent basis.
