Substitute Chris Dagnall scored twice on his debut as Leyton Orient came from behind to win 2-1 at Crewe Alexandra and reclaim the leadership of League One.
The Railwaymen went in front early in the second-half through Byron Moore but midweek signing Dagnall then struck twice in eight minutes to turn the contest around.
Manager Steve Davis earlier named an unchanged side with new loan recruit Uche Ikpeazu included on the substitutes’ bench.
Brad Inman soon had a shot parried by goalkeeper Edin Jakupovic while Ben Garratt charged out to deny O’s striker Kevin Lisbie at the other end.
Decent work between Abdul Osman and Inman then found Chuks Aneke supplying AJ Leitch-Smith to force Jakupovic into further action.
Moses Odubajo was wide with a header from a Dean Cox cross, and also went down inside the area under challenge from Inman as the visitors pressed before the break. Meanwhile, Aneke had a reply charged down.
Orient introduced ex-Barnsley striker Dagnall for the start of the second-half, but it was Aneke’s 53rd minute shot being blocked by Jakupovic and Moore bundling in the loose ball.
Aneke then struck wide after Leitch-Smith linked with Inman, until a long ball forward witnessed Dagnall escaping the attentions of Mark Ellis and slotting beyond Garratt for the equaliser.
Seven minutes later Dagnall reacted sharpest to add his second from close-range after the hosts had failed to clear a free-kick.
Crewe introduced on loan Watford striker Ikpeazu and the returning Mathias Pogba in a bid to find a way back, with Ikpeazu having a couple of late efforts but it wasn’t to be as their opponents remained firm.
