Crewe Alexandra striker AJ Leitch-Smith aims to be more clincial and make even better use of his goalscoring opportunities.

“I could have had some more as well because this team is always going to create chances” – AJ Leitch-Smith

The 22-year-old has already netted four times this season including a couple of spectacular strikes against Scunthorpe United and Stevenage.

But he believes he should perhaps have done better with a few of his more routine chances.

“I have been reasonably pleased with the way it has gone for me so far,” Leitch-Smith told This is Staffordshire. “I could have had some more as well because this team is always going to create chances. We just have to be a bit more clinical.”

Leitch-Smith scored nine times for the Alex last season on the way to a glorious promotion in their Wembley play-off final.
