Crewe Alexandra striker Shaun Miller is being reported as having turned down a move to relegated Rochdale.

Miller, 24, appears set to leave Gresty Road this summer after falling out of favour and currently has a year remaining on his existing contract.

He suffered a poor run of form last season and failed to score past September following a bright start, although manager Steve Davis announced earlier in the week that the door was still not closed on him.

Cheshire-born Miller has so far netted forty goals in three seasons with the club, which has prompted interest in his services from elsewhere.

Meanwhile, Rochdale are believed to have offered former Manchester City trainee Ashley Grimes in exchange.
