Crewe Alexandra striker Mathias Pogba believes his side still has a realistic chance of making the play-offs following his midweek double against MK Dons.

“If we can keep winning and picking up points then we have a chance” – Mathias Pogba

The 22-year-old signed-off ahead of joining up with his Guinea international colleagues by scoring both goals in the latest 2-1 victory at Gresty Road and moving within four of his personal twenty-goal tally for the season.

“I am looking to score goals in every game I play,” Pogba told Crewe’s official website. “My objective is to try and score 20 goals, so to score two goals and for the team to win makes me happy.

“We still have a chance for the play-offs yes,” he insisted. “I am a very optimistic person and we play a lot of team above us, so if we can keep winning and picking up points then we have a chance.”

The Alex are currently just below midway in the table and nine points short of the play-offs but with still a couple of games in hand.
