On loan striker Harry Bunn is set to miss the rest of the season after suffering serious knee ligament damage at the weekend.

“He will possibly need a couple of operations and it will be a long rehabilitation process” – Steve Davis

The Manchester City teenager fell badly when trying to get on the end of a Luke Murphy through ball during the scoreless draw with Tranmere Rovers at Gresty Road.

That saw him stretchered off and leaving the stadium on crutches before visiting a specialist yesterday.

“Harry has suffered severe ligament damage around the lateral part of his cruciate,” manager Steve Davis told Crewe’s official website. “He will possibly need a couple of operations and it will be a long rehabilitation process for him. Everyone associated with the club wishes him a speedy recovery because is a good player and a smashing lad.”
