Manager Steve Davis continues to be impressed by the form of Crewe Alexandra’s on loan striker Lauri Dalla Valle.

“He has great instinct and always follows up chances inside the box” – Steve Davis

The Finnish Under-21 international has already scored four times in his first five appearances since arriving on loan from Premier League Fulham. He netted both goals in the weekend victory against Crawley Town at Gresty Road.

“Lauri came here with great potential and has lived up to that tag,” Davis told Crewe’s official website. “He is a player who works tirelessly for his opportunities, wears the centre-halves down with his movement.

“He is clever with his runs and keeps getting into positions inside the box,” he added. “He has great instinct and always follows up chances inside the box in case anything drops to him or is rebounded.”

Dalla Valle is on loan until early next month and available to play in the forthcoming FA Cup and Johnstone’s Paint Trophy ties against Burton Albion and Doncaster Rovers.
