Crewe Alexandra’s former loan striker Uche Ikpeazu has joined League One rivals Doncaster Rovers on loan until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent deal.

The nineteen-year-old scored twice in eight games for the Railwaymen this term before agreeing to stay for the remainder of the campaign – until suddenly being recalled by parent club Watford.

That was actually a second loan spell at Gresty Road for Ikpeazu, who also netted four goals in fifteen appearances as the club avoided relegation last season.

He could now make his debut for Rovers at Chesterfield on Saturday.
